AARON C. WONG is a writer/director/producer based in Portland, Oregon. Having a background of mixed race and first-generation, his father an immigrant from Hong Kong, along with his childhood in Memphis, TN, Aaron seeks out voices and stories less heard but not necessarily quieter. After postsecondary education, studying British Literature at UCLA and Film/TV at SCAD, he concentrated on cinematography, with productions he’s lensed awarded BAFTA and Africa Movie Academy laurels, and editing, including for ABC News. With his screenplay GARAMBA honored as a Nicholl Finalist, Aaron now focuses on telling stories that explore society with sensitivity, compassion, and humor.
